CCP Environmental Science students built Berlese Funnels to study soil biota.  The apparatus physically warms the soil and rising alcohol vapors chemically release the organisms for study.  The soils unit consisted of soil sampling, building and analyzing a soil profile, and investigating the living organisms within the topsoil as well as investigating soil and groundwater pollution potential maps of Ohio.
